Africa’s voice must be heard; Africa’s image must be seen.
One of the biggest problems in African countries is trading among themselves. Whether through travel or business ventures, many African countries tend to place more restrictions on their fellow Africans than on those from other continents.
In a passionate call for unity and continental pride, Ghanaian travel influencer and YouTube sensation Wodemaya has urged Africans and African businesses to come together and promote the continent’s unique assets on a global scale. Following his recent travels through Botswana, Kenya, and Algeria, Wodemaya reflected on Africa’s untapped potential, highlighting the continent’s breathtaking landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and growing industries as opportunities to reshape its global image.
With millions of followers on social media, Wodemaya has made it his mission to capture and share Africa’s beauty and vibrancy. However, he believes that individual and business collaboration is essential for a broader impact, emphasizing that “Africa needs to show, Africa must be seen, and Africa must be heard.”
“We need to imagine a continent where Africans buy from each other, where trade is encouraged within, and where African institutions are highlighted as global examples of innovation and resilience,” Wodemaya said in a recent post.
He envisions a united Africa, strengthened by enhanced economic and cultural ties, benefiting from increased trade and cooperation across the region.
