A 34-year-old woman was arrested on Friday in Mavanze village after police discovered a significant quantity of cannabis during a search at her residence.
According to the Namibian Police (Nampol), 22 plastic sacks containing cannabis, allegedly prepared for sale, were seized during the operation.
The seized cannabis is currently being assessed to determine its market value.
The suspect is expected to appear in court early next week, where she will face charges related to the possession and distribution of illegal substances.
Police have urged the public to report any suspicious activities to assist in the fight against drug trafficking.
