A 20-year-old man, Andreas Kaurembi, tragically passed away on Wednesday during a physical test session for the Namibian Defense Force recruitment process in Rundu, Kavango East region. Kaurembi, who was partaking in a 2.5 KM race between the Multi-Youth Center and Rundu Vocational Training Center in Kehemu, collapsed during the exercise.
NDF medics immediately rushed him to the Rundu State Hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Police crime investigations coordinator Bonifatius Kanyetu confirmed that Kaurembi’s body has been transferred to the mortuary pending further investigation and a postmortem to determine the exact cause of his sudden death.
